Alpha 14 is done!
We're on fire! It's been again less than a week since completing the last phase (alpha 13), and we're already done with Alpha 14! We decided not to rest for the full 5 days as we had planned, took 3 instead and there we go! That's how things sometimes turn out. 4 days, awesome! Partially because some tasks were simpler to mimic in Android, and of course again some credits go to our proper system architecture and its well-organized codebase. So this is where we are now: Next stop would be the most complicated and lengthier android phase we're probably ever going to have ( at least on paper ) let's hope we get it done without much struggle or delay. Till next one! Cheers 🍻
Alpha 13 is done!
I'm not going to start this post by talking about the project. On the contrary, I want to tell you about the lunch I had with one of my friends last week who is not working in the tech industry. We had not seen each other for years. We were chatting, asking questions, what we'd been doing all these years, personally, professionally, and subsequently, it gets to what we're doing now. The moment I started talking about this project, she said: "yes I guess I read about your project in your blog, Alpha? Right?" At that moment, in my head, I was like "Oh shit, another one who doesn't have any clue what I'm doing" So I corrected her that we haven't revealed the name yet, and Alpha is a…
Android, beyond my expectation, great job!
First of all, I've gotta say that I'm writing all these down just to document the journey I'm in. Some people decide to film it, some rather tweet about it, some Instagram it. I guess I like words and blogging much more. It's such a great medium. Always fascinates me how simply writing about something can be so therapeutic, sometimes giving us such invaluable insights about ourselves and the direction we're heading towards in life. Here are some updates of what I've been through last week: The Project Last week we didn't start Alpha 13 and we jumped into Alpha 19 and did about 40% of it. Sometimes it's essential for us to do some tasks of other phases before getting back to the main track. Well, in the ideal…
Alpha 12 is done!
Here we go... We just wrapped up alpha 12! In less than a week! That's a good sign. It indicates we've established a well-organized code base that can be easily translated across different platforms or I'd better say I'd like to think this way. I'm really happy that we decided to do the android before releasing anything. It's given us a chance to review our codes one more time and rectify some embarrassing bugs. Yet, I'm absolutely positive that we're gonna notice a lot more once we launched it. That's how it works, for everyone, and we're not an exception. After all: if you are not embarrassed by the first version of your product, you've launched too lateReid Hoffman Still, we try our best. It's been also two weeks in a…
Alpha 11 is done!
Alright, first of all I know it comes as a surprise ( probably an unpleasant one ) to ones who follow the flow of the project I'm working on... it's kind of to me as well, but that's how things are better to go on. After all, there is always a piece of great news and ...a "but". Ok let me elaborate a little: The great news is that our iOS application is finally ready as a beta. It means it can be tested by actual end-users; people who were not involved in any way in the process of development. The "but" part is that we decided not to proceed it further or release it until our Android version is ready as well. The reason is kind of obvious and…
Alpha 10 is done!
Alright, we're done with our iOS Application! It's finally ready to be beta tested.
Another year passed by
And another year passed by … a tough one though…made me healthier, stronger, happier, and indeed more determined than ever to success the shit out of the rest.
Alpha 7 is done!
"The only disability is one's refusal to adapt" - Alpha 7 is done! The last three months were full of unforeseen challenges for me. Went to Malaysia to update my team in person and guess what? Everything tore apart! Meetings went fine as usual, but a couple of days in, we encountered a huge operational problem. Trump administration's embargoes against Iran, hit us too which is pretty devastating as we have no ties to any Iran-based entities or organizations. We're not even based in Iran. But as I was born in Iran, and I'm the director of the company, banks of Malaysia decided to close my personal and our company's account. You have no idea how simple things like a small money transaction now is a big headache for us.…
A big favor to yourself
When somebody doesn't have the capacity to be great, doesn't share the vision you have, is not grateful for what you bring him into, and doesn't understand how hard did you work to get here ... and thinks he is brilliant enough to take advantage of your position, or your friendship with him... Do yourself a big favor ... show him a big "F#--#K YOU" and leave him behind... let him be happy with this unreal idea of being awesome, great persuader, whatever... Sorry...but this is the case for many of my recent so-called friends..., so sad. - With Sadaf and MiladTN @BCTV - Season 4, #Permaisuri , #Kualalumpur , #Malaysia
