People do not appreciate what they don’t understand and what they can’t figure out. After all, the mind is always in a relaxed state when it can fully process what it perceives. The ideal case is when it’s able to recognize the pattern of a given chain of occurrences, from its knowledge base and more importantly from previous experiences. Otherwise, the mind works very hard to put itself in a calm state, sometimes by giving up following a series of actions, sometimes by denying the possibility of a dream could come true, and sometimes ___by discouraging others from pursuing their goals, dreams, and passions__.
Entrepreneurship is all about you not let anybody get into your head or disappoint you. It’s about having a growth mindset and understanding of how your perceptual and reasoning systems work together. The price is almost always high, you will most probably experience a lonely life for a long time. Not easy to talk about your dream while not many people get it, yet judge you. But like everything worth having in your life, you should fully pay the price, and yes.. in advance. It’s all about your mindset, clarity, perseverance, positive self-talk and your integrity to stick to your plan until it’s 100% done!
PS: About the photo, I can vividly remember the day I discussed the plot of a new show, called HotNCold with my crew in BCTV Malaysia. It was weird, unusual, breaking so many taboos in Persian culture, full of improvisation, yet I managed to get everyone on board. In the photo, I was telling two of its incredible cast not to pay much attention to comments they would receive for the first few episodes; people would get accustomed to it, pick up the pattern, and eventually would start enjoying it. That’s what happened, and it became the best show ever produced in BCTV ( 2011 ). After all these years it still competes with today’s strictly scripted boring entertaining, or comedy shows you find in Persian networks.
