BETA 20 IS DONE!

We’re on track! We have just deployed the company’s new website, which is currently visible to our beta users. This marks the end of Beta 20. As soon as we start public beta testing, it will be open to everyone. In this post, I’ll provide some updates on our progress during Beta 20.

BETA 20

As mentioned above, we’ve released the final version of the company’s website, and I want to emphasize that it isn’t just a landing page.

We’ve already tested our concepts, so this isn’t about gauging interest or demand. The website is designed to serve our company, as well as existing and prospective users and investors.

TEAM

As we prepare to expand our team with the public beta launch, we’ve also developed systems and components during Beta 20 to streamline recruiting new talent via the company’s website. Nothing fancy—just the essential tools for bringing on board key team members.

Here’s our current timeline:

Project Timeline Beta 20

A quick reminder: this timeline is flexible and subject to change based on our progress. I’ll share any major adjustments as they happen.

CANADA POST

A quick update on my settlement in Vancouver—as I mentioned in my last post, I’ve relocated here for various reasons. Unfortunately, the Canadian Union of Postal Workers went on strike a few weeks after I arrived and remained on strike until December 17th.

I certainly didn’t see that coming, and it’s been a huge headache. The strike has interrupted my personal and professional settlement here, as I’m still waiting for my IDs and other important documents. There’s a good chance they won’t arrive in 2024. A real bummer.

KODUS TO PARASTOO AHMADI

During Beta 20, I believe a truly historic event happened in Iran. Parastoo Ahmadi, a brave Iranian girl, held a symbolic YouTube concert without the obligatory hijab as an act of defiance, performing in a remote location in Iran. As far as I know, it was unannounced to avoid immediate interruption or arrest by the authorities. Without a doubt, this was a historic moment—the first performance by a female Iranian singer without a hijab since the Islamic Revolution of 1979.

Parastoo had previously been arrested during the Woman, Life, Freedom (#MahsaAmini) protests but has never given up. I deeply admire her courage in standing up to a regime that has long silenced women.

YALDA AND CHRISTMAS

The completion of this phase happened to align with the Persian Yalda celebration. Yalda marks the longest and darkest night of the year in the northern hemisphere, usually around December 21st. Last night, I celebrated it near a Christmas tree (lol) with my Canadian and Persian friends.

Happy Yalda and Merry Christmas to everyone who celebrates!

Alright, that’s all for now. Till the next update, stay safe!

Cheers!
