Brutal, surreal, and unbelievable 46 days! Life truly has a way of throwing unexpected challenges at you. In this post, I’ll share the story behind the delays we’ve faced post-pandemic and provide an update on our release timeline.
Relocating to Vancouver
As the title suggests, I’ve relocated again to Vancouver. In early October, a personal matter I had been tolerating for years suddenly escalated to a point where it could no longer be ignored. What had long been a distracting, disappointing, and limiting challenge demanded immediate action. This led me to make the tough decision to move back to Canada—a step I hoped would allow me to fully focus on the platform we’re building and bring it closer to public beta testing.
Everything happened so suddenly that I’m still processing it. Despite the pressure and stress of relocating and settling into a new environment, I’m relieved to say I’ve managed to push through.
Adjusting the Timeline
I’m still adapting to the new setting, but as of last Friday, the team and I have regrouped and updated the project’s timeline. Here’s our current timeline for significant milestones:
Please note that this timeline is flexible and subject to change based on our progress. I will share with you any major adjustments.
Beta 19 – Launching from Canada
In my last update, I mentioned that we introduced a new feature implementation into our timeline to enable our business models right from day one. The bulk of this was developed during Beta 19. However, as the lead developer, my productivity took a significant hit over the past few months due to the relocation process. Now that I’m in a more settled state, we anticipate completing this feature for alpha testing by the end of phase Beta 21.
Phase Beta 19 also marked a key turning point: we’re now officially launching the platform from Canada. With most of our key team members based here or in the United States, it made sense to adjust our hiring and operational plans to align with the new circumstances.
Major Upcoming Milestones
Here’s a look at what’s ahead:
Concept Revealing
At the end of Beta 23, we’ll unveil the company’s name, the platform concept, and the founding team. This milestone will also kick off our marketing activities.
Beta Launch
By the end of Beta 25, we plan to begin open beta testing. Production servers will go live at the end of Beta 23, marking our soft launch. I’ll share with you more details on this after Beta 23.
Early Access Opening
Once we reach this phase, the beta development cycle will conclude. We’ll officially launch our Early Access Program on the company’s website, and I’ll transition project updates away from this blog.
That’s all for now!
Till the next update, stay safe.
